BILE-AKA, BRIZOUA-BI & Associates law firm, the Confederation General des enterprises de Côte d’Ivoire (GECCI), and G4S Côte d’Ivoire society, organize Thursday, July 09 at the Maison de l’entreprise flatbed (Abidjan), a panel for the executives to enable them to be better prepare to get through this period.
This panel which has the theme: « Safety of private investments in election period » will be moderated by several personalities including the Vice-president of the CGECI, Mr. Alain KOUADIO, the DG of CEPICI, Mr. Emmanuel ESSIS, M. Jean Luc RUELLE, Chairman of EUROCHEM, Mr. Serge KOUAKOU, DG of G4S CI and Mr. Alain DONWAHI, Secretary General of National Council security (NCS).
After more than a decade of crisis, the Ivorian economy is poised to pass its economic take-off with the implementation of the new economic strategy defined in the National Development Plan (PND) 2012‐2015 whose objective is to make Côte d’Ivoire an emerging country by 2020.
This ambition through the implementation of a program of investment around powerful engines of growth capable of promoting a dynamic of growth strong, sustained, solidarity, creator of jobs and environmentally friendly. To achieve these objectives, the Government has made investment a lever of economic recovery.
Thus, public investment would increase from 2.8% of GDP in 2011, at 9.7% in 2015 and private investment would increase from 5.4% of GDP in 2011 to 13.7% in 2015.
Measures are put in place to create not only one of the best climates of the affairs in Africa but also to promote partnerships public‐private. The main actions undertaken relate to fields related to remediation of the macroeconomic framework and public finances, strengthening the governance and the improvement of the business through a safe reassuring environment.
The next presidential election announced for the month of October 2015 is inevitably as in previous election years, a source of concern for economic operators, and in particular for the security of their investments.
Indeed, the experience of previous years shows us that they were accompanied by excesses or even violence; all things that could contribute to losses or a partial or even total cessation of activities.
